Wakwetu People’s Development Organization
(WAPEDO) came into existence as a result of the motivation and personal initiative of its founder Rev. Anderson Madimilo to enhance the socio-economic status of the people and protection of the environment.
Rev Anderson Madimilo is an Anglican pastor who was
raised in rural family, he is not a stranger to the hardships faced by poor rural families. He grew up witnessing the forests disappearing as a result of human
activities, people becoming more stressed and losing their culture. Having an experience of those challenges, the founder set out to do his best to make a positive
difference in the lives of people and their environment.
To promote and participate fully in the development of activities aimed at improving economic status of people and protecting the environment especially soil
conservation, reforestation within Mpwapwa and other parts of Tanzania.
We are committed to create a strong society with improved economic status and wellbeing, sustainable natural resources and a sustainable and healthy environment.
To improve living conditions of people in Tanzania while ensuring conservation of their native environment through management of their natural resources.
WAPEDO encourages the following values to be practical both at individual and Organizational level
